In this traditional softcore movie, sexy, successful romance novelist Kathleen Connell meets a suave, good-looking fan, Jack Mandel, at a book signing for her latest novel, Passion and Romance. After signing Jack's book, Kathleen imagines making passionate love with him. When Jack asks Kathleen to dinner the next night, she gives him her phone number, but their attempt to hook up fails, leaving Kathleen to imagine the beginning of her next erotic novel. In the novel Melissa Lamb (Gabriella Hall) comes to LasVegas for a computer conference. In fact, the conference is not all she came to Las Vegas for: She is there to play games both at the blackjack tables and in her hotel room. The next night, after they again agree to get together, Jack stands Kathleen up, leaving her to write the next chapter of her book. Finally, they hook up in Los Angeles where Kathleen's old friend Debora gives her material for the final chapter of her book.
